Privacy policy

This policy explains what information OrOMenu ("we") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers restaurant owners who use our dashboard and guests who open menus made with OrOMenu.

Information we collect

From restaurant owners (account holders)

• Your email address, your password (stored only in a scrambled form we can't read back) and your preferred language.
• What you put in your menus: restaurant name, logo, photos, dishes, prices, descriptions and settings.
• Payment details you send us: the amount, the transfer screenshot and the sending phone number or InstaPay address. We never see or store card numbers.
• Files you upload for importing a menu (photos, PDFs, links).

From guests who open a menu

• To count views fairly, we combine the menu, the visitor's IP address and browser type into a one-way code. We do not store IP addresses. The code is deleted after a short time.
• We keep only totals: views per day and per hour, and the language read.

How we use it

• To run the service: show your menus, count views, keep your balance and confirm payments.
• To contact you about your account: verification codes, payment confirmations, low-balance and offline reminders.
• To answer your support requests.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Services we rely on

• Hosting: our servers and database are run by cloud providers that store the data on our behalf.
• AI menu import: when you import a menu, the files or the page you give us are sent to Google's Gemini AI to read the text. Don't upload files that contain personal information.
• Facebook Pixel: only if a restaurant owner adds their Pixel ID, their menu pages load Meta's Pixel, and Meta receives information about that visit under its own policy. Menus without a Pixel load no outside scripts.

Cookies

The dashboard uses a few necessary cookies: to keep you logged in, to protect forms (CSRF) and to remember your language. Menus themselves set no cookies, unless the restaurant uses a Facebook Pixel.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your menus and personal data, except records we must keep by law (for example, payment records).

Your rights

You can see, correct, download or delete your information. Most of it you can change yourself in the dashboard. For anything else, write to support@zaeoon.com. We follow the applicable law, including Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date above and tell account holders about important changes by email.
